The digital era empowers us to create and discover music, theater and visual arts in transformative new ways. Attendees of this workshop will learn about the differences between creating art and music in the analog and digital worlds. In addition they will be exposed to a variety of tools that:
Participants will be asked to share the tools they currently use and indicate what tools they wish for. The goal will be to incorporate a new awareness of digital tools to revise or create new lessons.

- Compose collaborative music and podcasts in the cloud.
- Share audio and solicit time-stamped feedback from classmates.
- Enhance understanding of and visualize music theory.
- Visualize and interact with the components of an orchestra.
- Produce loop-based music with a simple touch interface.
- Uncover the science of sound and color.
- Tour virtual museums with vast art collections.
- Create digital art with an infinite palette of tools, and record a start-to-finish timelapse video.
- Collaboratively produce videos in the cloud.
- Stream interviews with and lessons from artists around the world.
- Use a tablet as an interface for photo retouching and editing.
